Zuri + Ryan

Wedding Date & Location:

August 31st, 2024 at Zwiesler Farm

For our real bride, Zuri, the vision was classic and timeless with just the right touch of drama—and her wedding day could not have been more personal or memorable. Every detail carried meaning, from wearing her mother’s veil (handmade by her nana) to walking down the aisle in a gown that made her feel effortlessly beautiful. Guests were treated to a celebration filled with unique touches—think pizza catered by her own family, custom cakes, and tables topped with board games for a playful twist. With heartfelt music recorded by loved ones, a circle of helping hands, and moments spent soaking it all in, Zuri’s day was the perfect blend of elegance, sentiment, and pure joy.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

Classic & Timeless with a bit of Drama

How did it go on the day-of?:

Everything went perfect! My photographer told me I was the most over-prepared bride she has ever worked with (she has worked with a lot of brides) and I had so many people to help everything go smoothly the day of that there was nothing wrong. I got to spend the days leading up to my wedding with my friends from out of town. There were so many little touches that made the day even more special than it already was. My hair stylist was my mother's wedding stylist. My veil was the same one my mom wore that my nana made. My bridesmaids and my shoes were my something blue and they got to all choose their dresses. My photographer has been my long time friend and I also got to be a flower girl in her wedding. my food was pizza (delicious) but my family owns the catering company and also got to be part of the special day. Our friends hosted games. We created a custom cake creation with our cake lady. On each of our tables we had board games (both of us love to play games) and hand stamped napkins with thank you cards to our guests. My husband recorded a cover for his special dance with his mom. Our first dance was also a cover recorded by our friends and we took dance lessons to make it more fun. Our rings were custom made and designed by a local jeweler (TamRon) and our bands used gold and diamonds from our mother's jewelry. My dress really fit the perfect vibe I was going for and made me feel beautiful the day of.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Have fun and be in the moment! Fill the day with special people and special moments.
