What was the vision for your wedding?
As a flower shop manager who also works for a wedding planner, Zoe sees more weddings in a year than most brides ever will — and her Pinterest board had been dialed in for years. When it finally came together, she says it was everything she dreamed of and more. Her creative twin sister and dad helped bring her DIY projects to life, and her coworkers helped execute the day flawlessly. If she had to name a theme, she calls it "vintage floral outdoorsman" — the perfect blend of her and her husband Matt. She chose every vendor based on her own years of experience working alongside them, which made being on the bride side of things all the more special.
How did the day go?
Zoe and Matt tied the knot over Fourth of July weekend — fitting, since she's always loved America. A Western-themed rehearsal dinner kicked things off on July 3rd, followed by a relaxed holiday together before the big day at her best friend's parents' house on Hayden Lake. The morning started off rainy, making for a cozy getting-ready session, during which her team of florist friends surprised her with the bouquets — she'd found it impossible to choose for herself, so she let her team take the reins, and it turned out perfectly.
The day was layered with sentimental details: her wedding band made from her great-grandmother's bracelet, her sister's maid-of-honor dress the same one her mom wore in her own sister's wedding (sewn by Zoe's late grandmother), heirloom tablecloths, thrifted plates and silverware for an eclectic tablescape, and a seating chart organized by 14 mountains instead of table numbers, a nod to Matt's love of the outdoors. Faith was woven through the entire celebration — Matt and Zoe's dad built the ceremony arbor together, the couple took communion during the ceremony, and prayer was a constant thread throughout the night.
Zoe's #1 tip for future brides?
Enjoy every moment. Zoe had been to hundreds of weddings and always thought they dragged on — but her own day flew by from the second she woke up. Her advice: take mental snapshots throughout the day and really soak it in, because it's over before you know it.

What was the vision for your wedding?:
I manage a flower shop & work for a wedding planner so I see a GOOD amount of weddings every year. I have had my Pinterest board dialed for yearrrrrs. Our wedding was everything I dreamed of and more! I have a very creative twin sister & Dad who really helped me dial in all of the DIY projects & then my wonderful friends at work helped execute our day perfectly. When people ask what the theme of our wedding was, I say it was a perfect blend of Matt & I. “Vintage floral outdoorsman” Haha! We chose our vendors based off of my experience working with them over the years… It was so fun to be on the bride side of things!!!!
How did it go on the day-of?:
I looooove America. So it was fitting we got married the 4th of July weekend! Our rehearsal dinner was July 3rd, and we did Western theme. It was SO fun!!!! We then celebrated the 4th of July & had a day to hang out and relax, then the big day!!! We got married at my best friend’s parents house on Hayden Lake. The day was rainy to start so our getting ready morning was cozy!!!! As we got ready, my friends got to surprise me with the flowers. Throughout the planning process as a florist, it was way too hard for me to try to decide what I wanted! So my amazing team picked for us and it couldn’t have been more perfect. There were soooo many sentimental pieces to our day. My wedding band was created from my great grandmas bracelet, my sister’s maid of honor dress was the dress my mom wore as maid of honor in her sisters wedding (made by my grandma, who is no longer here, so special!!!), heirloom tablecloths, etc. So so so many special pieces that came together to make our day perfectly ours. We wanted our day to reflect Christ in every aspect, and it was so sweet to dream that up with my now husband! Matt & my Dad built our arbor cross together, we took communion during the ceremony, prayed many times throughout the night, it was so special!!!! All of our plates and silver dishes were thrifted throughout the year to make the cutest electic look. Our seating chart was 14 different mountains instead of table numbers, because my husband loves to be in the mountains! I don’t even know where to begin with all the special details. There were so many!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
Enjoy every moment of it!!!! Everyone tells you how fast the day goes by, but you really have no idea until it’s your day. I’ve been to hundreds of weddings, and they always seem so long. Your day is going to FLY by. From the moment you wake up until the time you go to bed. Take mental pictures every so often of different parts of the day!!!! Soak it all in! It’s your day!!!
