By our real bride, Shannon:
What was the vision for your wedding?
The vision for our day was classic and simple. I wanted cabernet/burgundy for a moody fall vibe and then added in blush and cream colors to compliment. I wanted the day to feel authentic to my husband and me & have lots of personal/local touches.
How did it go the day-of?
The day was beyond our wildest dreams! Our planner, venue staff, and the vendor teams were incredible and made the day go so smoothly. A major highlight was the triple floral arch from Daisies in May which we were married under and moved into our reception over the sweetheart table. The farm florals were stunning with pops of burgundy, blush, and greenery. To make it more personal, we incorporated wheat from my grandfather's farmland in Sprague, WA into the florals and boutonnieres. This is something we traditionally incorporate at all family events and it was super special for our family. Music is also important to my husband and I & my family so we decided to book the Spokane Symphony String Quartet for our wedding ceremony. It felt like Bridgerton and our guests loved listening to the classic music as they arrived. We also have attended many weddings and decided we wanted to go non-traditional for the food menu and host gourmet BBQ (smoke d prime rib, brisket beans, cornbread, etc.) for our big day. Needless to say, it did not disappoint! A final memory would be our dance floor...which was epic! We kept the dancing going late into the night with all the best throwback hits and we truly had the time of our lives.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Hire a day-of coordinator or planner! You will not regret it and it will allow you & your partner, your family, and your bridal party to be 100% more present for the day.
