Melody + Abigail

Wedding Date & Location:

August 10, 2024 at Siren Song Winery in Chelan, WA

Melody always dreamed of saying “I do” at a winery, and the moment she toured Siren Song she knew she’d found the one. With its sweeping lake views and vintage Italian villa architecture, it felt like stepping into the Tuscan countryside without ever leaving Washington. She leaned into the venue’s warmth and romance with brass candlesticks, gold accents, and florals in terracotta and taupe tones that echoed the hillside landscape. Her bridesmaids matched the palette perfectly, creating a warm, sun-washed backdrop for every moment.

On the day itself, everything flowed seamlessly. With the help of her two Maids of Honor—who own an event rental business and handled both the décor and florals—Melody’s vision came to life effortlessly. Efficient photographers captured every detail of the venue, portraits, and candid moments while family, friends, and the coordinator worked behind the scenes to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Perfect weather and joyful guests made it feel like the best day of their lives.

Her top tip for future brides? Plan ahead but stay flexible. Melody created a binder of contacts, timelines, and must-have details for her coordinator, which kept everything running smoothly—but she also gave herself permission to go with the flow. A little planning plus a lot of flexibility, she says, is the secret to a wedding day you can actually enjoy.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

I always knew I wanted a winery wedding, and when I toured Siren Song for the first time I knew it was perfect. I decided to play into the vintage Italian villa vibe, and with it overlooking the lake it was perfect. I chose to play into the gold accents and keep my decor in similar tones, with a lot of brass vintage candle sticks, vases etc. I did my dresses in shades of terracotta and taupes to keep with the warmth of the venue colors. It ended up coming together perfectly and I couldn't have dreamed it better. I had my Italian countryside wedding right in Washington state!

How did it go on the day-of?:

Everything went smoothly, which is all I could ask for! I had tons of help from my bridal party, specifically my maids of honor who did all of my decor rentals AND my florals. They own an event rental business so they really helped guide everyone through set up and help my vision come to life. Our photographers were super efficient, getting all the shots we wanted of the venue space, portraits etc. and guiding along the process as well. I'm so thankful for my family and friends for stepping in and helping as well, the combination of the wedding coordinator, photographers and my bridal party really made the day go so well, we couldn't have done anything without them! Everyone had a wonderful time, the weather was perfect and we had the best day of our lives.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

My tip is to plan everything out and make a binder of important documents, contacts, timelines etc to give to your coordinators on the wedding day. That was super helpful, but the main thing is to be flexible on the day of. Some things might not be right on time, perfectly executed, weather etc. but it will all be ok!!
