By our real bride, Meghan:

What was the vision for your wedding?

My inspiration photos were all centered around simple elegance and romantic visions! Most importantly, we wanted a party!! While the decor and inspo photos were important to me, when the day arrived and I didn't necessarily achieve everything I envisioned, I couldn't have been happier with how things turned out. Dancing, laughing, and talking with so many people who were all there for my husband and I felt like such a dream come true.

I chose my vendors from Google searches! My wedding was slightly on a budget, so I had to dig a little deep for the cost-friendly vendors that could still make the day amazing.

How did it go the day-of?

The wedding day was an absolute dream! I felt so "go-with-the-flow" that day, which made the day 1000 times better! The gals all got up early for coffee, hair, and makeup, which was the most fun! We had fun snacks and spent the entire morning laughing. We got to the venue and had a little time to kind of relax and drink champagne before getting into our dresses and doing all the first looks (bridesmaids first, then my dad, and then my mans). We did our first look so we could get all our pictures done before the ceremony and reception, which I cannot recommend more! We had so much more time to enjoy our reception without having to do the posed portraits. We also did private vows with just us two right after our first look. To us, saying our handwritten vows was a personal touch for the day, and didn't need to be said in front of our guests. We did the traditional ones at the altar, but it was more meaningful for us to devote our love through vows privately.

Our reception was a giant party from start to finish. We didn't do a cake (neither of us like cake that much and I just so much about how the cake doesn't really get eaten), so we did cookies instead and those were a hit! We also created fun wedding t-shirts and did a t-shirt toss as we entered our reception and the guests LOVED it. The rest of the evening was spent socializing and dancing. Make sure you have fun at your wedding!!

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

When the wedding day comes, let all the stress go. All the prep you did for months and months will show throughout the day, and you can't change much about how it'll turn out on the day, so don't stress about it. I had a really stressful day the day before because I was focusing on the things that I forgot to organize or still had to get done, and I didn't like the way I was feeling. So I woke up on my wedding day and let it all go because I was about to get married to the love of my life and spend the day with everyone that was there for us! Your wedding day will go so so fast, so don't waste any time stressing about small details.
