Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories of our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, we are delighted to share the wedding story of our real bride, Megan, who envisioned a celebration blending Western and boho vibes. Her wedding day was beautifully simple and perfect, reflecting her unique style and personality. Megan ensured everything went smoothly by hiring a wedding planner familiar with the venue and creating a detailed timeline for everyone involved. Personal touches, like napkins featuring their dog and her adorable nephew as the ring bearer in off-brand Pit Viper sunglasses, made the day even more special. Instead of traditional speeches, guests wrote heartfelt letters, adding a meaningful touch to the joyous and memorable day. Megan's top tip for future brides? Don’t sweat the small stuff and remember that you’re the guest of honor, not the host!
By our real bride, Megan:
What was the vision for your wedding?
I was going for Western meets boho vibes. Either way, it was beautiful, simple, and perfect!
How did it go the day-of?
Having a wedding planner day-of who knew the venue made things so easy! I created a timeline for everyone involved so everyone knew what to do and where to be day-of and no one bothered me. We had napkins with our dog on them and that was everything. People loved it! My nephew was the ring bearer and was, honestly, the star of the show. I got him off-brand Pit Viper sunglasses and it was so cute. We didn’t do speeches but instead had a place where people could write us letters which is so much nicer because the whole day was so much fun but also a blur.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff. remember you’re the guest of honor, not the host!
