Welcome to this blog post where we will take a peek into a non-traditional New Year's Eve wedding at the historic Florence Hotel. The bride had a vision of gold sparkly 20s vibes, and the day-of turned out to be everything she wanted and more. The wedding included a glitter girl, donuts for dessert, a photo booth, and no bouquet or garter toss. The focus was on spending time with friends and family, partying and dancing until midnight. The bride's top tip to future brides is to do the things you want to do, even if they sound crazy or unconventional. In this blog post, we will also share the vendors who helped make this wedding unforgettable.
By our real bride, Maddie:
What was the vision for your wedding?
I started off wanting a typical fall wedding with oranges and sages outdoors in October! I kept changing until I settled on New Year’s Eve, gold sparkly 20’s vibes! It suits me very well!
How did it go the day-of?
We went non-traditional. We didn’t want kids at our wedding (which is okay!!! We felt bad at first telling people they couldn’t bring their kids, but we wanted everyone to enjoy a night out and party with us!), so we had a glitter girl throwing confetti! We started at 8 pm so the dance floor would be a focal point and everyone would stay till the end at midnight! We had donuts for dessert, a photo booth, no garter toss or bouquet toss, and wanted the focus to be spending time with our friends and family partying and dancing, which we did! We also required formal attire and specified no denim (because Montana), much to the chagrin of TikTok seeing my video about it, and it made it beautiful and sparkly! The guests were so excited to dress up!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Do the things you want to do, even if they sound crazy or unconventional. Do them and don’t worry about what other people will think- it’s not their wedding!
