Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, our real bride's wedding was a stunning celebration of her Western roots, blending vintage, rustic, and cowboy vibes into a truly unforgettable day. Growing up on a cattle ranch, our bride knew her grandpa’s longhorn cow skull had to be a centerpiece of her vision, and she brought it to life with her unique style and creative touch. From a custom livestock brand unity ceremony to heartfelt details honoring her family, every moment felt personal and meaningful. Our real bride's advice to future brides? Stick to your vision, start planning early, and don’t be afraid to say no to ideas that don’t feel like you—because your wedding day should be all about you and your love story!

By our real bride, Lynzy:

What was the vision for your wedding?

Vintage/ rustic western cowboy My vision was western from the start, I grew up on a cattle ranch so I knew I wanted to incorporate my grandpa's longhorn cow skull. My vision didn’t change much throughout, I just took my style and let my creative mind go to work. One thing I will say is don’t let others try to change your ideas. If you love it then do it because at the end of the day, it’s all about you and your spouse and YOUR vision of your perfect day. It’s ok to say no to people and their ideas if it doesn’t fit you.

How did it go the day-of?

So smooth! I did so much to prepare and ensure everything was taken care of before the big day, which helped! We did have some issues that arose with the makeup artist, flower girl dress, and boutonnière however I rolled with the punches and made it work stress-free. Once we got started it went so fast, but all our hard work came together and paid off wonderfully! What made the day special was having little pieces of my grandpa's ranch with us, it made my heart so happy to see so many pieces of him. Another thing we did that was unique was our unity ceremony. We branded a framed cowhide with the livestock brand my husband and I created together. This little touch made for beautiful pictures and a keepsake we can have forever.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

START EARLY! I can’t stress enough how busy you will get in the last 3 months of planning. I had an almost 2-year engagement and started planning the day we got engaged and boy did that help. I got all of the big purchases out of the way first, then focused on the details and decorations, making it stress-free. I ended up waiting to do some decorations during the last month of prep and I wish I would have done this at least two months in advance. However, everything worked out great!
