Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, our real bride's wedding was a breathtaking celebration of love, nature, and authenticity. With a vision inspired by the mountains and lakes that have shaped her relationship, she and her partner created a day that was intimate, meaningful, and uniquely theirs. Despite a last-minute timeline shift due to incoming weather, their ceremony beneath an eagle's nest and lakeside vows made the day unforgettable. The rain became a cozy backdrop to an already magical celebration, shared with just 30 cherished guests who have been pivotal in their lives. Liv’s advice to future brides? Prioritize a talented, energetic photographer who makes the experience fun—those joyful memories behind the photos will mean as much as the stunning pictures themselves.

By our real bride, Liv:

What was the vision for your wedding

Intimate, authentic to us as a couple, natural/ nature inspired- mountains and lakes have always been significant in our relationship,

How did it go the day-of?

Inclement incoming weather pushed us to move our wedding day timeline forward by almost 6 hours so everything was fast-tracked. Everything still came together, even if it wasn’t exactly in the same details we had planned/ imagined. It all came together so enjoyably and when it began to rain we were already safely married, eating cake indoors. The wedding was easy-going but still elegant. We boated to the ceremony and officiated the wedding beneath an eagle’s nest, both of whom attended and flew behind us during the vow exchange. It was so unique to us and our somewhat unorthodox, free-spirited mindsets. The wedding was made that much more special by the intimate guest list. The guest list had been specifically edited down to only 30 people, each of which significantly positively influenced our lives and/or our relationships. I think that helped us all stay focused on the day's importance.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

Choose a photographer you know does good, involved work. Besides the ceremony and beginning our married lives that day, some of the most fun memories we both have of that day are from the prompts and inspiration we got taking our wedding photos with our photographer. Not only do we cherish the beautiful photos from that day, but the fun we had taking them with an energetic, talented photographer adds to the story behind the memories.
