Your wedding day is a culmination of dreams, Pinterest boards filled with inspiration, and a meticulous selection of vendors to bring your vision to life. It's a day you've long imagined, and when it finally arrives, every detail falls into place, creating a memory to cherish for a lifetime. In this blog post, we'll take you through the journey of one couple's dream wedding, from envisioning their perfect day to experiencing the magic of the day itself.
By our real bride, Kyra:
What was the vision for your wedding?
My wedding looked very similar to how I had always imagined it. Pinterest helped in helping my ideas come to life along with adding a lot of inspiration. I chose my vendors, although strictly by Instagram profiles I feel like pictures can kind of tell you a lot about how they work, what products look like, and what your outcome is going to be for your wedding.
How did it go the day-of?
My wedding went absolutely perfect! There really wasn’t anything that I would’ve changed or had done differently. It was exactly what me and my husband have always wanted! The day started out with a beautiful, clear blue day, and it almost was a blur as soon as makeup and hair got to the house, it went by so fast. It feels like the whole wedding, which started at 5 pm and went on until 2 AM, was only an hour long! That being said during your big day, take in EVERY moment, it goes by way faster than you’d ever imagine! One of my favorite things that we included was a vintage pink couch from Patina Events, my husband had built a flower wall for the background of the sofa, and that I think was one of my favorite touches. A tie with being number one would also have to be our phone guestbook. The amount of joy that has brought to us when we get to just listen back to all the voicemails that each and every one of our family members left is something I will cherish for the rest of my life because those people won’t be with us forever, but we have their voices forever!
Another thing we did for a wedding that I really appreciated was I stood across from my bridesmaids, which I know is a bit nontraditional but I cannot recommend it enough. My bridesmaids were my two sisters and my two best friends, and having the ability to look at them and look at my future husband was the most reassuring thing when you’re standing in front of hundreds of people! We also have the option to do a sunset photo shoot the night of our wedding and those pictures are by far my favorite pictures of the night. My biggest piece of advice would be to let it just roll. The day will go perfect and you’re the only one that’s gonna know if something went wrong, but enjoy the day because this is the start of the rest of your life!
