Kendra + Tanner

Wedding Date & Location:

September 14th, 2024 at The Greenhouse on Harvard

For our real bride, Kendra, the dream was a garden-meets-woodland celebration that felt warm, vibrant, and deeply personal. She blended terracotta vases and saucers with peaches, pinks, creams, and earthy tones to create a palette that nodded to both summer and fall. Delicate linen napkins printed with branches and birds tied the whole look together, bringing her “garden party in the woods” vision to life.

The day itself was everything she’d hoped for—peaceful, joy-filled, and stress-free thanks to a supportive vendor team and careful planning. Guests dined on tacos and Birdie’s Pies, while Kendra and her partner shared private vows during a first look. One of her favorite memories? Hopping into the venue’s side-by-side at golden hour, Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr. playing as they headed out to the fields for photos. The night wrapped with dancing, laughter, and the kind of magic that only happens when every detail reflects who you are.

Kendra’s best advice to future brides: create a dedicated wedding email and stay organized early. Keeping everything in one place and tackling tasks ahead of time gave her the freedom to relax and truly enjoy her wedding day.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

My vision for the day was a garden & woodsy feel. I sourced a few terracotta vases for centerpieces and used small terracotta saucers as name cards at each table as an ode to the garden party theme. I wanted the colors to give fall and summer vibes, so I chose peaches, pinks, creams, and terracotta. I came across these linen napkins, which I was obsessed with, that had branches and birds on them for the woodsy feel. My vision truly came to life exactly how I envisioned it.

How did it go on the day of?:

I truly couldn’t have asked for a better day. I felt so at peace and happy for the entirety of it. I had an amazing team of vendors and a support network that I was able to relax the whole day without a worry. The energy was so vibrant, and everyone was in the best mood. We had tacos and Birdie's Pies, which were a huge hit. We shared our vows privately during the first look, and it was such a special moment. During golden hour, we hopped in the venue's side-by-side to drive out into the field for photos, playing Family Tradition by Hank Williams Jr., which is such a core memory for me during the night. The evening was full of dancing and laughter, and the day was magic!

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Create a wedding email and try to stay organized from the very beginning. The wedding email helped my brain have it all in one spot without mixing in with personal emails. Organization-wise, I tried to update my checklist and spreadsheet throughout the whole process to avoid saving things to the very last minute. This and accomplishing tasks I was able to way in advance helped my days leading up to the wedding to be a lot less stressful.
