Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous wedding! In today's post, we're thrilled to share the beautiful wedding of our real bride, who envisioned a modern-boho, feminine, and natural celebration. Her journey to create the perfect day was a blend of inspiration and intuition, resulting in a wedding that was truly unique to her and her husband. Although she started without a clear vision, she carefully curated pieces of inspiration to create a day that was everything she dreamed of. Planning from Reno, NV, she relied on online research and found the most amazing vendors who brought her vision to life. On the day-of, she embraced simplicity, focusing on what truly mattered—celebrating their love with close family and friends in an intimate setting. The result was a stress-free, joy-filled day where every moment was savored.
By our real bride, Kathryn:
What was the vision for your wedding?
I wanted modern-boho, feminine, and natural. I stayed true to that through the whole planning process and couldn't be happier with how it turned out. In the beginning, I didn't quite have a vision for exactly what I wanted my wedding to look like. I saw inspo pics that gave ideas but none of them seemed to be just what I wanted. I was able to take pieces of all my inspo and create a vision that I knew was exactly what I wanted. I lived in Reno, NV for work at the time of my engagement and through the planning process so just only option was online research. I read numerous reviews, made lots of phone calls, and typed lots of emails! I got so lucky with the best vendors!
How did it go the day-of?
I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. From day 1 of planning I said I wanted my wedding to be "simple". I don't like attention and the idea that the entire day was spotlighted on Kyle and me was nerve-racking for me. We tossed "tradition" out the window and only did the things that were comfortable and felt exciting for us and would truly give us our best day! I think that doing this, it helped us to just soak in and truly enjoy every moment of celebrating us with our loved ones. I didn't feel an ounce of stress the entire day, I was just so excited to be there. We chose to keep our wedding "smaller" with only our closest family and friends attending to make it intimate and have everyone who means the most to us in one place to celebrate our special day.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
I know it sounds cliche, but do not sweat the small stuff seriously. Leading up to the wedding day there were all sorts of tiny details I was worried about, either that I missed them or that they weren't good enough. When I woke up on the wedding day, I wouldn't have been able to tell you a single one of those small items I was worried about. I was just excited that it was wedding day and I truly don't think that any small detail or even something big could have taken that joy and excitement away. All I needed was an officiant and Kyle and I would've been happy!
