Kate + Justin

Wedding Date & Location:

October 5th, 2024 at Trezzi Farms Winery

Kate’s fall wedding at Green Bluff was a celebration of love, meaning, and intentional details. Rather than recreating her Pinterest board, she embraced the natural beauty of her venue and filled the day with personal touches—from a heartfelt first touch to a memory table honoring her late father. Despite pre-wedding jitters, Kate found peace and joy the moment she arrived, surrounded by loved ones who made the day feel calm, warm, and full of love.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

I wanted a fall themed wedding and thought green bluff was the perfect location in our area. I created a Pinterest board of how I wanted everything to look, tons of table decor and florals, but the wedding itself didn’t totally look like my end goal. Which I was very happy with. The venue was so beautiful on its own, I didn’t need to spend an arm and a leg to make my wedding look like my Pinterest board. Accent your venue, don’t overwhelm your venue!

How did it go on the day-of?:

The day of our wedding I was incredibly anxious getting up that morning. I was in my head wondering if it was going to look the way I wanted, if it was going to go smoothly, and as an introvert I was very scared about having attention set on my husband and I. Once I arrived to my venue the jitters escaped my mind and body once I saw everything laid out. We decided to do a first touch rather than a first look. We were way too shy to share our vows in front of the guests, but I also wanted to see my husband's raw reaction as I walked down the aisle and seeing me for the first time. That eased both of our anxiety and made for a very special and intimate moment between us. It was very important for us to commemorate loved ones that we lost by assigning a chair for my father even though he wasn’t present and aligning a memory table for him. I urge anyone who lost a special someone to do this on their wedding day because for us, we felt their energy and love with us the whole day, like they were never really gone. All of these things were planned to make the two of us feel less pressure and feel more love on our big day.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Don’t let anyone ruin your special moment. I know that’s a very simple answer, but in reality something always goes wrong during such an important event. Whether it’s big or small, don’t let anyone influence the way you feel on your day. Family may bicker, maybe you left your veil at home, or you forgot to bring a pair of scissors to your venue. Trust that you have a great circle of people and they will help figure it all out for you!
