Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories from our real brides about their real weddings! In today's post, get ready to be inspired by this couple's wedding vision, described as elegant and timeless with a touch of Western influence. The couple selected familiar vendors, all of whom they knew before planning the wedding. The day-of experience is characterized as the best day ever, feeling like a fairytale and remarkably stress-free. The weather was perfect, with no rain, smoke, or wind, and a delightful 75-degree and sunny atmosphere. The wedding included both traditional and nontraditional elements, with a church ceremony and an outdoor reception on Lake Pend Oreille. A unique "bridal party refresh" was mentioned, where the group took a shot and enjoyed pizza after the ceremony. The #1 tip for future brides provided is to consider a first look with the partner and to schedule most couple and bridal party photos before the ceremony, saving time. Additionally, our bride recommends investing in professional hair and makeup services, emphasizing the importance of looking and feeling your best on one of the most significant days of your life.
By our real bride, Kate:
What was the vision for your wedding?
Our vision was elegant and timeless with a hint of Western. We picked our vendors from people we were familiar with. I knew all of our vendors before planning our wedding.
How did it go the day-of?
The day of the wedding was truly the best day ever. It felt like a fairytale. It was such a stress-free day, I truly let go of everything and just enjoyed the day in the moment. We had the perfect weather, no rain, smoke, or wind, and a lovely 75 degrees and sunny. We had a mix of traditional and nontraditional, we got married in a church and had our reception outdoors on Lake Pend Oreille. After our ceremony, we did a bridal party “refresh” (highly recommend) where we all got together took a shot, and ate pizza before going into the reception.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
I strongly recommend doing a first look with your partner and taking most couple photos and all the bridal party photos BEFORE the ceremony. It is such a time saver! I also highly recommend paying for your hair and makeup because this is one of the most important days of your life.
