Kaitlyn + Remington
Wedding Date & Location:
June 22nd, 2024, at Beecher Hill House in Peshastin, WA
For our real bride Kaitlyn, creating a wedding that felt timeless, intentional, and joyful was the top priority—and the day delivered on all fronts. With a clear vision from the start, she and her partner carefully selected each vendor to bring their dream to life, resulting in a celebration that was equal parts elegant and fun. From skipping the first look to savor that aisle moment, to specialty cocktails named after their dogs (hi, Huckleberry and Juniper!), Kaitlyn's day was filled with personal touches, meaningful moments, and a whole lot of love.
What was the vision for your wedding?:
Timeless, classy, fun! We had a pretty set vision of what we wanted from the beginning. Simple, but elevated. We chose our vendors based on referrals and interactions/first impressions! We talked to a ton of vendors in all categories before ever making a decision so we knew we were working with professionals who took one of our most important days as seriously as we were!
How did it go the day-of?:
Everything the day of was a dream. Seriously, if something went wrong, we still don’t know about it even almost one month later thanks to our amazing amazing venue/day of coordinator and family. Knowing multiple people have your back throughout the day to handle things makes a world of difference. We chose not to do a first look, so I got to spend the morning upstairs with my girls eating, drinking, dancing, and getting ready. I chose to do my own makeup and I have zero regrets. It was easy-paced, fun, and a classic day of the girls getting ready together. The boys also got their space downstairs in the grooms club. We chose a venue that had spaces for the bridal & groom parties to spend the whole day which I highly recommend! Not doing a first look made the beginning of the ceremony so special for us, but obviously meant we had a lot of photos to do after the ceremony which actually worked out since the sun sets so much later in the beginning of summer! We followed the advice of not leaving each other’s side the rest of the night. I feel like this means we have so many great candids of us together talking to different guests, dancing, everything. The day was about us and we made sure to prioritize each other! We included personal touches like speciality cocktails named after our dogs, Huckleberry and Juniper which was so fun! Our day was fairly traditional, but I chose to give my Mom my small toss bouquet since she only has daughters and won’t get a first dance at one of her kid’s weddings. This was super special as the oldest and first daughter to get married.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
Try to find a venue that is YOURS for the weekend. With such a big, important day, the last thing I wanted to be stressed about was if things were going to be ready for my wedding the day after someone else’s, or getting everything out by a certain time the night of my wedding so they were ready to go for the next one the day after. Having a venue and coordinators that were dedicated to us for the weekend made it feel that much more personal and less rushed. We were able to store dresses, suits, and decor days in advance so we could catch things we were missing or forgot before it was too late, and made it so enjoyable to leave after the venue closed for the night and come back for everything in the morning.
