The blog post describes the vision for a boho-themed wedding that is both classic and timeless. The author's wedding planner helped them create a mood board based on their Pinterest board. On the day of the wedding, despite bad weather in the days before and after, the wedding was perfect and relaxing. The author's #1 tip for future brides is to do bridal gifts the week before the wedding and not to stress too much about the fine details, as guests will have fun regardless.
By our real bride, Jenni:
What was the vision for your wedding?
I definitely knew I wanted a boho-themed wedding that was also classic and timeless. Our wedding planner helped us create the perfect mood board of a rustic, boho-themed wedding. She looked at my Pinterest board and was able to capture the most common themes and it turned out spot on.
Our team of vendors mainly came from recommendations from our wedding planner, with a mix of vendors we researched ourselves or have had family work with in the past.
How did it go the day-of?
I can’t even describe how relaxing, perfect, and calming the day of our wedding was. It was raining, thundering, and smokey a few days before our wedding and the day after, but the day-of was sunny and perfect. Because we got married on a private residence, we were able to just hang out all day and take as much time as we needed to get ready. There was something so magical about being at the lake and seeing all the work and effort you put in come together.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Do your bridal gifts the week before the wedding! Package the gifts and write your cards so you don’t stay up until midnight doing them the night before!
Remember the tiny details really don’t matter. Your guests will have fun regardless of if you go with a khaki vs white napkin. They won’t even notice! Really just don’t stress too much about the fine details, because it’ll drive you crazy!
