Jane + Mike
Wedding Date & Location:
May 15th, 2024, at The Neon Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada
After 13 years together, Jane and Mike knew they wanted something untraditional—and unforgettable. So they ditched the rulebook and eloped to Las Vegas, opting for a day that was fun, stress-free, and completely true to them. With the vibrant, historic Neon Museum as their ceremony backdrop and a spontaneous night filled with donuts, Cubanos, and Fremont Street lights, their wedding was a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple. From start to finish, every detail felt intentional, easy, and joy-filled—just the way they wanted it.
What was the vision for your wedding?:
After being together for 13 years, we decided to skip tradition and elope in Las Vegas! We wanted our special day to be stress-free, fun, and in a unique location. Over the years, we’ve really enjoyed vacationing in Vegas and visited the Neon Museum for the first time in 2023. We knew right away this would be the perfect location for our ceremony. All the bright colors, lights, history, and art just stood out as something unexpected, yet still us. We chose Elope In Las Vegas as our elopement company, and they were absolutely amazing. Elope in Las Vegas stood out to us with their fun, vibrant photos that captured the essence of old Vegas and their fantastic communication. Izzy and James were super low key and fun and made us feel extremely comfortable and at ease. They took care of all the details from booking the venue, being our officiant, photographer, florist, and setting up hair and makeup. I sent inspiration photos for hair, makeup, and flowers and got exactly what I wanted. I really wanted succulents and flowers to match the color theme of the Neon Museum, and Izzy knocked it out of the park. I was able to transport my succulents home to have as a special memory of the day.
How did it go on the day of?:
The ceremony was intimate at the Neon Museum, and we were able to focus on each other and really enjoy the moment. After the ceremony, we wanted to head to Fremont and get pictures with all the lights of old Vegas. We saw at least 4 other couples out taking wedding photos, which added to the atmosphere. Even though we eloped alone, it felt like a giant after-party downtown. We were able to finish our pictures at one of our favorite spots, the Carousel Bar at the Plaza. Beyond that, we didn’t make any specific plans for the night and kept everything spontaneous. Our wedding cake was Pink Box donuts, we ate Cubanos from a food truck, and ended the evening with some cocktails at the Park MGM. Even though we didn’t have any family or friends with us, everyone we met was so nice and excited for us. We were able to really enjoy our day, and it was exactly what we imagined.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
I was worried I would have some regrets about eloping. That was not the case. If planning a wedding starts to feel overwhelming, I can’t recommend eloping enough. It really allows you to have a special day that focuses on you and your spouse without the stress. We decided to throw an after-elopement party for friends and family later so we could celebrate with everyone. This was also a nice way to make sure everyone still felt included. If you had told me 10 years ago that we were going to get married in Vegas, I would have laughed. But the truth is, Vegas is such a great place to elope. Everything is so easy and accessible, and there is something unique and special for every budget. Your options are endless, from getting married by Elvis at a chapel or up on a beautiful desert mountain. Also, just because something is traditional, if it doesn't feel true to you as a couple, you don't have to do it.
