In this blog post, we get a glimpse into a couple's elegant and simplistic wedding vision with a touch of rustic charm. The couple faced challenges in choosing the perfect venue but found their dream location at the Montvale. On the day of their wedding, everything fell into place, and the couple was surrounded by their loved ones, making the day even more special. They share their #1 tip for future brides: to take it all in because the wedding day goes by incredibly fast.
By our real bride, Taylor:
What was the vision for your wedding?
The vision for our wedding was elegant with a touch of rustic. Once it came down to figuring out decor, we kind of moved away from the rustic idea and went very simplistic. From the beginning of wedding planning, I knew exactly what I wanted and for the most part a lot of things worked out perfectly and even when things didn't work out that way I imagined, it happened to be better than I originally thought it would be! Our vendors were really easy to pick as most of them were longtime friends! Choosing the venue was the hardest part because we had a specific image and wanted something that matched that, but once we found the Montvale, we fell in love!
How did it go the day-of?
The day-of was a dream come true!! I cannot believe how flawlessly the day went off. Leading up to the day, there is so much stress and nerves that something is going to go wrong but then the day comes and all of that worry disappears because I realized how easy the day was since I was marrying the love of my life! We were so lucky to have our close family and friends around us the whole morning while we both got ready. During our first look, we only wanted us two and our photographer in the room (even though I know my mom was peeking). This was such a special moment for the both of us and made our first look that much more intimate. Another amazing moment of our wedding was for our reception entrance, our DJ did a sports entrance type thing where he announced the bridal party with funny things about them and then he announced us with a big smoke entrance. It was so fun and it got all of our guests super excited for the reception!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
People always told me to make sure to take it all in because it goes by so fast, and oh my goodness did it fly by! So make sure to take it all in - the engagement, the planning, the wedding, and all the fun you will have with all your loved ones around you! It really goes by in the blink of an eye and I wish I could relive my wedding day over and over again!
