In this blog post, we'll hear about one couple's vision for their wedding, how it went on the day-of, and their number one tip for future brides. From classy and elegant to fun and unforgettable, this wedding had it all. Join us as we dive into their story and relive the magic of their special day.
Shayla looked absolutely stunning in our Cece gown by Calla Blanche. This gorgeous ballgown has exposed boning and an unlined bodice that creates a vintage, elegant look. A sweetheart neckline is framed by dainty lace that cascades down the bodice and trickles down into the skirt. This dress is such a classic, timeless beauty.

What was the vision for your wedding?
When asked what I wanted my wedding to be like by friends and family, I would say, "I just want it to be pretty." I wanted it to be classy and elegant but not too over-the-top at the same time, and we landed on St. Al's and the Isabella Ballroom at The Davenport! We both wanted it to have a balance of all the traditional elements that reflected us and our families but also for it to be a fun, unforgettable party.
How did it go the day-of?
Our wedding day was more perfect than we ever could have imagined. It was amazing to see everyone we love come together in one place to celebrate with us. Everyone went above and beyond to make our day extra special. We did have to kick out some wedding crashers, but we took them as a testament to how great the party was.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Even though having a budget is a good thing to have as a guide, remember that it is okay to splurge on whatever is most important to you. Your wedding day only happens once and you don't want to look back regretting anything! Also, the little things don't matter in the end! I was way too stressed out about small details that no one would have noticed. Everyone is there to love and support you as a couple. Ultimately, all that matters is finally marrying your best friend!
