Marissa looked absolutely beautiful in our Etta gown by Essense of Australia. This is a stunning ballgown with a handkerchief skirt with gorgeous depth and volume. A mixture of different types of lace appliques cover the bodice and are scattered throughout the skirt. The bodice has a v-neckline and dainty shoestring straps that flare out into a triple strap detail in the back of the gown. A low back and a short train complete this dreamy ballgown.

What was the vision for your wedding?
My vision was simple but elegant. I had my mind set on a lot of floral with greens. I liked the galvanized look and simple centerpieces. I originally wanted to incorporate wine bottles in the centerpieces but I went with succulents instead inside of lanterns. I had a good idea of what I wanted but it really came together better than I could have imagined. We chose the venue because we had our eye on it even before we got engaged. The simple beauty of the venue is what sold us. We chose the photographer after seeing his wedding videos advertised on Facebook and loving his style. We chose desserts after I visited he Honest in Ivory anniversary party.
How did it go the day-of?
The weather was warm, the sky was clear, and the day went smoothly. It was smaller than we originally planned due to COVID, but we felt surrounded with love by our family and friends. We had a family friend marry us and he made the ceremony so personal. We also had a handfasting unity ceremony that we are so glad we incorporated into our special day. During our dancing, we were presented with our wedding furs which is a Cook family tradition. Our guests had so much fun dancing around in furs. We left the reception through a tunnel of our family and friends waving ribbon wands. Our wedding day was an absolute dream.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
My number one tip is to be okay with asking for help. It can be difficult to put your vision into others hands but I promise it will be so worth it to not have to worry about every little detail. This really allowed me to relax on the day of because I knew everyone helping out knew my vision.
