Katie + Mark
(July 7th, 2021 on Shipwreck Beach, Kauai)
In this blog post, we'll hear from a bride who had a specific vision for her wedding and how it turned out beyond her wildest dreams. She'll share tips for future brides and highlight the special moments of her romantic, tropical wedding. So if you're currently planning your own wedding, grab a cup of coffee and get ready to be inspired by this beautiful story.
Our real bride Katie was absolutely breathtaking in our Raine gown by All Who Wander. This is a beautiful A-line gown with subtle sequins that catch the light perfectly. It has a sweetheart neckline and lots of boning in the bodice to provide comfort and support. The bodice is unlined which helps highlight the waist and buttons in the back add the perfect level of detail. Katie had custom off-the-shoulder sleeves created as well and they beautifully add to the romance of this gown.

What was the vision for your wedding?
I wanted a more romantic/elegant version of a classic tropical wedding. My expectations were far exceeded! I chose all of my vendors through Instagram and referrals.
How did it go the day-of?
Our wedding day was every girls DREAM. Mark ended up staying at our friends AirBnb and we got ready in separate homes. The morning of I was SO nervous. We arrived separately to Shipwreck Beach and the pastor had Mark face the horizon as I walked down the aisle toward him. The look on his face when he saw me for the big reveal moved everyone there. We stood in a lei circle made of purple orchids and said our I dos and read our vows with the sounds of waves crashing behind us. It was pure romance. Afterward we went to our reception venue and we were utterly speechless at how it turned out. Every corner of the venue was a detailed moment. We did sneak away on a golf cart trip down to the ocean for an intimate sunset photo moment and it was SO worth it. It gave us a moment to breathe and take it all in. We came back and danced the night away with everyone. It was one of those days you never want to end.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
My tip to the future bride is to create a separate email specifically for communication about all things wedding! Communicating with vendors and coordinator(s) can become disorganized very quickly and having a separate email helps you stay organized!
