Kaitlin looked absolutely beautiful in our Madelyn gown by Alyssa Kristin. This gown is fully sequined in a stunning geometric pattern. It is a sheath fit and has a gorgeous curved v-neckline and a low back. A horsehair trim adds body to the skirt and the train on this gown is gorgeous.
By our real bride, Kaitlin:
What was the vision for your wedding?
We started out by finding our venue and my Pinterest board came together from there! We chose a Christmas tree farm with a large cedar barn. We planned to use sage green and dusty pink, tall candles, and wood cookies on round tables. Our caterer and DJ were both recommended by our venue. Then, because of the pandemic, we had to change venues. So, we found a local taco truck to cater, asked my sisters photographer to shoot our wedding, used a friend of a friends vintage car, was recommended a florist by a friend, had my mother-in-laws hairdresser do our hair, and asked an old classmate to do makeup. And we found our amazing bar online! It sounds like it was a lot of work, but really it all came together as smoothly as it could have for a venue change!
How did it go the day-of?
We had a private ceremony with our siblings, parents, and grandparents. After the ceremony, Jackson and I had a moment alone where we took communion and talked about our future. This was one of my favorite parts of our day! After that, we ate tacos, drank margaritas and lemon drops, chatted with our guests, listened to our favorite people tell our story from their points of view, ate cake, took photos, partied, and left! There were some very special parts of our day that I will never forget. We went to Disneyworld for our honeymoon and had bride and groom Mickey ears at our head table. We also borrowed a blue vintage car that my dad drove me up in and that we used as our getaway car - this was my something blue!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Whatever it is that you are holding onto with an iron grip whether its a color, a certain flower, a desired vendor just let it go. Remember that no matter what the details are like, this day will be the best day of your life because you are marrying the person you love the most in this world!
