Brooke + Brett
(May 18, 2019 in Boise, ID)
Todays blog post is a personal account of a wedding, in which the author describes the vision they had for their wedding, including dreamy white flowers and a relaxed setting. The wedding day went smoothly and was surrounded by family and friends. The author's top tip for future brides is to remember the reason for the wedding and focus on the happiness of marrying one's partner rather than getting bogged down in the details of the event.
Brooke looked absolutely beautiful in our Livi gown by LAmour. It is a stunning ballgown with a gorgeous tiered skirt with handkerchief trim that adds some fun volume. The satin bodice features a v-neckline, flattering waistband, dainty straps, and a gorgeous low back. Simple and yet so so stunning!
By our real bride, Brooke:
What was the vision for your wedding?
Most importantly, we wanted our wedding to be a reflection of us - a little formal and a lot of fun! I wanted dreamy white flowers with lots of greenery and elegant place settings in a relaxed setting. We had a formal wedding in the Catholic cathedral in downtown Boise, then moved to a laidback reception in an industrial bar setting complete with brick walls and exposed pipes laced with fairy lights.
How did it go the day-of?
The day of went so smooooooothly! I didn't know it was possible to have such a smooth wedding day and it flew by in the blink of an eye. The girls and I woke up early in the dreamiest bridal suite, showered, went to the salon, and started getting our makeup done. It had poured rain all week and on the Saturday of our wedding the sun came out shining high, birds were chirping, and it was a perfect 75 degrees! We were surrounded by our family and best friends who flew in from around the country to be there and we are so grateful for the love they have surrounded us with through all the years. It's hard to not have a perfect wedding day when enveloped by such strong, true love. It was definitely the best day of our lives!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Future brides, remember the reason for the wedding. When little twists and turns popped up I just remembered that at the end of the day it didn't matter where we were or what the flowers looked like or what we ate- we were going to have a lifetime of happiness as long as we got to marry each other - everything else was just a bonus!!!
