Everest + Matteo

Wedding Date & Location:

April 27th, 2024, at Belles on the Bluff in Spokane, WA

For our real bride Everest, her spring wedding was the perfect blend of boho charm and farmhouse elegance, with just the right touch of modern simplicity. From the moment the day began, it was full of meaningful moments, unexpected weather (hello, hail during vows!), and unforgettable memories—like her 80-year-old grandma tearing up the dance floor. Through it all, Everest credits her calm, seamless day to one major key: a venue coordinator who made the magic happen behind the scenes.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

We were so excited to be having a spring wedding where we could see our somewhat boho-farmhouse vision come to life. We wanted things to feel simple and rustic while still holding some elegance and modernity. The best part: I truly feel like the dress embodied this perfectly!

How did it go the day of?:

The days leading up felt like such a whirlwind, but this made for a smooth day that went to plan. The morning was blustery and colder than we would have imagined, and we were so hoping the weather would hold out for our outdoor ceremony! I was so restless watching all my lovely bridesmaids get ready, but when it was my turn, everything felt so real, calm, and poised. Our ceremony was beautiful and sentimental, but we couldn’t control everything. Midway through our vows, it began the rain and hail! Our guests were relieved when we began to laugh and carry on, and honestly, it made this moment that much more special and memorable. We didn’t do a first look, so the emotion at this time was poignantly precious. We had so much fun during the reception too; great food, signature cocktails, amazing speeches, and watching my 80-year-old grandma dance like no one’s business! And then in what felt like an instant, it was time for our last dance and a send-off. The whole day went by in a flash, but we still managed to remember each moment.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Having a venue coordinator/planner was such a game changer. Our venue included a day-of coordinator who met with us a few times and orchestrated our rehearsal/setup and everything day of. I’m a big type A planner, but what I didn’t realize until it was “go time” is that I could only plan out the wedding in a more hypothetical sense - there was no trial run, and no second chance. Having someone on site who has the cadence of weddings down pat and is looking after you was so meaningful. Our coordinator went the extra mile; she even unpacked my car and had some extra food, a chilled champagne bottle, a lit candle, my robe and slippers from home, all lovingly laid out in our suite before we arrived the night of our wedding. Truly a game changer that I didn’t realize I would need.
