Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, our real bride's vision was for a modern rustic-boho wedding set against the backdrop of a charming homestead with willow trees and a creek. Despite the warm weather, fall colors brought seasonal magic to the day, complemented by carefully chosen vendors recommended by friends and social media finds. The day itself might not have gone entirely to plan (do they ever?), but that didn’t stop this couple from savoring every magical moment. From incorporating meaningful Hispanic unity traditions to ending the ceremony with a playful tequila shot, their wedding was a perfect blend of love, culture, and fun.
By our real bride, Erica:
What was the vision for your wedding?
We (I) were going for a modern rustic-boho vibe. The venue is a beautiful homestead with willow trees and a creek, so this was perfect for a September wedding. Even though it was warm, I still went for the fall colors. I chose my vendors based on recommendations from close friends and looking them up on social media!
How did it go the day-of?
Nothing goes as planned but that didn't stop us from enjoying the best day of our lives! At the end of the day, it was still a magical and perfect night as we celebrated with our loved ones. We had a non-specific religious ceremony but still incorporated some Hispanic unity traditions like the Lazo and unity coins. We added a non-traditional unity at the end by taking a tequila shot! This was a way of showing the fun side of us.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Don't stress over the small things. You will forget items or lose things but enjoy the moment with your future husband and those there to support your love!!
