Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories about our real brides and their gorgeous weddings! In today's post, our real bride shares all about her dreamy, whimsical, and full of classic PNW mountain magic wedding day. With a palette of pinks and peaches and a vibe inspired by Coldplay, Twilight, and ABBA, she carefully chose vendors that fit the aesthetic perfectly. But what truly made the day unforgettable was the deep support from friends and family. From her brother walking her down the aisle to the groom’s heartfelt letters to her bridesmaids (and yes, groomsmen in SpongeBob socks!), love radiated from every moment. Read on for the full story—including Emma’s game-changing tip that made her wedding day stress-free!

By our real bride, Emma:

What was the vision for your wedding?

I wanted dreamy & whimsical w/ classic PNW mountains. A lot of pinks & peaches! Coldplay meets twilight meets abba. I based my vendors off that vibe!

How did it go the day-of?

It felt like a complete dream! I feel like the day went by so fast! We woke up at 6 am and had a slow morning getting ready together. I had 14 bridesmaids! I think what made our wedding different was that we were truly supported by our friends and family. We had a first touch & first look, my brother walked me down the aisle, all the groomsmen wore SpongeBob socks haha, and the groom wrote letters to my bridesmaids that they opened while they got ready. It was the genuine exchange of love outside of just us as a couple that really made the vibes so special!

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

The day-of went so well for me because (and this is my #1 tip to future brides) I announced at my rehearsal dinner that if anything went wrong or you needed to ask a question, don’t come to me and instead go to either my coordinator or one of my 3 bridesmaids who I put in charge. I swear it changed how the entire day went and I never even noticed the little things that went wrong! My morning was slow but then as soon as our photographer arrived, it felt like go time. In those situations remember to TAKE IT SLOW and just take in the air around you. My last piece of advice is to make sure you have a bridesmaid who is in charge of pulling you away if some guests become too chatty for too long. You don’t want to be stuck in a conversation and miss your other guests or the dancing! Make a signal with your bridesmaids. :)
