Emily Williams + Quinlan
Wedding Date & Location:
September 14th, 2024 in Chattaroy, WA
There was never any question about where they wanted to say “I do.” They chose to get married at the bride’s grandparents’ farm in Chattaroy, transforming the family barn into a wedding space that felt deeply personal, meaningful, and completely one-of-a-kind. They knew taking on a venue with so much DIY potential would require a lot of work, but with the help of family and friends, they were able to bring their vision to life in the most beautiful way. Their goal was to let the natural character of the barn shine while elevating it with details that felt simple, elegant, and ready for a celebration. More than anything, having their wedding at her grandparents’ home made the day feel incredibly special and filled with so much heart.
When the day finally arrived, the bride shared that she felt surprisingly at ease — trusting that no matter what happened, the day they had been waiting for was going to unfold exactly as it was meant to. And it did. She described it as a dream from start to finish, the kind of day that flies by in a blur of joy, laughter, and unforgettable moments. From the meaningful setting to the energy of the celebration, it truly felt like the party of a lifetime — one they wish they could relive over and over again.
Her biggest piece of advice for future brides is such a good reminder: make the wedding the one you and your fiancé envision. Tune out the outside noise, enjoy the process, and don’t get caught up in the small things. The engagement season goes by quickly, and at the end of the day, what matters most is that you’re marrying the love of your life. Soak it all in.
What was the vision for your wedding?:
We got married at my grandparents farm in Chattaroy. We knew what we were getting ourselves into but could not have done it without the help of our family and friends. Our vision was to use the bones of the barn and put in the work to make it picture worthy! Theme wise we wanted simple, but elegant and finish with a party. Having it at my grandparents was everything we could have ever wanted and made our day so much more special and unique.
How did it go on the day-of?:
The day of i felt at ease knowing the day was going to happen no matter if we forgot a small detail or not. It was a dream and as they say it flew by. I wish we could relive it a million times over. We threw the celebration of a lifetime with many stories to tell!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
My tip for future brides is to make the wedding what you and your fiancé envision. Don’t listen to the outside noise and enjoy the process! It goes by so quick. Soak in your engaged days and don’t sweat the small stuff. At the end of the day you are marrying the love of your life and that’s all that matters!
