Elizabeth + Mark
Wedding Date & Location:
September 7th, 2024, at Eagle Lakes Ranch Lodge in Othello, WA
For our real bride Elizabeth, the dream was a wedding that felt fresh, modern, and totally “them.” She envisioned a sea of ivory and white with the faintest blush of pink, creating a clean, elegant canvas that still felt warm and personal. While Elizabeth leaned classic and modern, her husband wanted a western touch — and with the help of their wedding coordinator’s design services, the two styles blended seamlessly. Local vendors brought the vision to life, especially her florist, whose arrangements outshone even Elizabeth’s Pinterest board.
The day itself was everything they had hoped for: joyful, lighthearted, and free of stress. Elizabeth and her bridal party spent the morning getting ready at the lodge, which offered enough rooms for the entire wedding party to stay overnight — a bonus that added to the celebration’s relaxed vibe. A first look and pre-ceremony photos meant she could greet guests with ease and fully enjoy the moment when she walked down the aisle. One of their closest friends officiated the ceremony, keeping everyone laughing (including Elizabeth!) with a ball-and-chain gag and jokes woven throughout their vows.
The reception reflected the couple’s personality and humor — signature cocktails named after their two pups, custom bar signs created by her husband, and a welcome sign tallying the days until their big moment. Elizabeth also embraced multiple outfit changes, from removing her overskirt after the ceremony to slipping into a chic short dress for dancing. Surrounded by 150 friends and family, the couple laughed, danced, and celebrated late into the night, soaking up every second.
Her advice to future brides? Enjoy your day. You’ve waited so long for it, and you deserve to experience it fully without sweating the small stuff.
What was the vision for your wedding?:
I wanted a modern wedding with as much ivory and white as possible, with small hints of pink. My husband and I knew exactly what venue we wanted, as it’s in the town where we both grew up. My Pinterest board was filled with stunning white and ivory floral arrangements, and my florist blew us away with arrangements even more beautiful than what I could find online. My husband wanted a more Western-themed wedding while I wanted a more classic and modern wedding. Our wedding coordinator helped us tie everything together with her design services, tying in pieces that worked for both of us and truly tying the whole theme together. We chose our vendors based on local recommendations, and they did not disappoint!
How did it go on the day of?:
Our wedding day was hands down the BEST day of my life. I had so much fun, smiling and laughing all day and night. Instead of stressing about trying to make everything perfect, we focused on having fun and enjoying every second of our day. We both spent the mornings in our own private areas with our bridal party and enjoyed getting ready and hanging out. My makeup artist and hairstylist did an amazing job making us all look beautiful. The lodge had enough rooms for all of our bridal party to stay overnight with us, so that was an amazing bonus and made the night so much fun! We had our first look photos, bridal party photos, and family photos before the ceremony. Our photographer was so easy to work with and went above and beyond to ensure we got all the photos we wanted and more! I loved getting to see everyone and talk with them before the wedding. By the time the ceremony started, I wasn’t nervous at all and couldn’t stop smiling while I walked down the aisle. One of our close friends married us, and it was so special and hilarious. He pulled out a ball and chain to put around my husband’s ankle before we said our vows, and then cracked jokes throughout the whole ceremony. I literally never stopped laughing, and neither could our guests. After the ceremony and signing our marriage certificate, we enjoyed our reception with 150 of our closest family and friends, drinking our signature drinks named after our two beloved pups. My husband made custom bar signs for the drinks with our dogs on them, and they were hilarious. We also had our welcome sign custom-made by a local friend and listed how many days I’d been waiting for our wedding day. Everyone loved our signs and how they showed our personalities and sense of humor. Throughout the evening, I had a few outfit changes that were so fun, including removing my overskirt after the ceremony and then changing into a shorter reception dress after dinner. We danced the night away with our family and friends and greatly enjoyed staying the night with everyone. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day!
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
