Welcome back to the Ivory Bride Blog, where we share stories from our real brides about their real weddings! In today's post, get ready to be inspired by this couple's wedding vision, initially considering a big celebration but ultimately opting for an intimate event focused on celebrating their love. They rented a VRBO with a ceremony site in a charming small town in Montana, seeking recommendations from the property manager, who was also a photographer. The couple handled their own food and found hair and makeup vendors through a Montana wedding Facebook group. The wedding day went by quickly, and our bride advises future brides to slow down, be present, and take in the moments. They opted for private vows without a first look, finding it more special and intimate. The wedding had a small guest list, including the maid of honor, best man, and a few family members, totaling 25 people, allowing the couple to enjoy their guests fully. This bride's top tip for future brides is to ask for help and not put too much pressure on themselves. They delegated tasks, with family members contributing to the dinner, and the author's mom handling the cake table. The emphasis is on embracing the support of others to make the wedding planning process smoother and more enjoyable.

What was the vision for your wedding?
At first, we thought we wanted a big wedding but then realized that quickly became about the guests rather than us and we wanted the day to truly be about celebrating our love. We rented a VRBO that had a ceremony site in the cutest little town in the middle of nowhere Montana. The property manager was a photographer and he gave recommendations for florals. We did our own food and I found my hair and makeup vendors through a Montana wedding FB group!
How did it go the day-of?
The wedding day went by soooo fast. My best advice is to really try to slow down and embrace everything going on. Really be present and take it allllll in, because before you know it, it’s over. We chose to do private vows WITHOUT a first look and it was so special. We both laughed and cried. There was just something so much more vulnerable about doing our vows just the two of us and getting to really feel all of our feelings without the pressure of being in front of other people. We also only did a maid of honor and best man and a few family members. There were 25 people there including us and our officiant! We really got to enjoy all of our guests.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
ASK FOR HELP. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. Delegate if you can. My uncle smoked some meat and we had a few of our family members all make a side for dinner. My mom was tasked with the cake table.
