Clare + Chase

Wedding Date & Location:

June 8, 2024, at Copper Creek Inn in Ashford, WA

For our real bride Clare, creating a weekend where guests felt relaxed, loved, and immersed in nature was the heart of her wedding vision. Nestled in the forests of Washington at Copper Creek Inn, Clare and Chase blended enchanted forest charm with nostalgic summer camp vibes to craft an unforgettable celebration. From morning yoga under cottonwood skies to private vows in the woods and dancing late into the night, their day was deeply personal, joyful, and filled with meaning.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

We wanted, first and foremost, for our guests to feel loved and relaxed the whole weekend. Being able to stay at a property the whole weekend was the best way we could do that! A few friends led us to Copper Creek Inn, and we fell in love with the property. In cabins in the forests of Washington, we loved the idea of both a kind of enchanted forest and a summer camp vibe, so we mashed them together and ended up with the most beautiful wedding I could imagine for myself. We were quite intentional with our vendor selections, and we ended up vetting dozens before picking out the truly rock star team we ended up with. The food, the music, the drinks, the photography, beauty, coordination, etc etc were all incredible!

How did it go the day-of?:

So perfectly! We had some weirdness with our rentals the day before, but the day of was so perfect. My sister led a yoga session the morning of our wedding, and the image of a clear blue sky with cottonwood floating past will be locked in my memory forever. My half of the bridal party came over to my cabin and had a charcuterie lunch while we all got ready and talked about our first kisses to keep me distracted and calm. I got dressed with my mom and had a private first look and vows with Chase. We both cried a lot. The ceremony was perfect and included audio of my grandma giving us advice, readings we selected that our friends and family read, and some damn good vows. We signed some paperwork and spent some time alone as a newly married couple, chatting and having drinks. We went straight into our first dance and while our timing was a little off and Chase almost dropped me on our dip, we got through it and could start the party in earnest! Our dinner was magical and our friends’ and families’ speeches were so beautiful. People danced the whole night and… it was just perfect. It’s impossible to describe all of the memories and how loved I felt and the pride at seeing it all come together. It was truly the best weekend I could possibly have asked for.

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Drug yourself the night before! I’m kidding, but not that much. NyQuil, Benadryl, something. A good nights sleep before your wedding is so valuable, and it’s not worth fussing over trying to get it naturally. Your nerves will be insane no matter how prepared you are for it. Just take something to help you sleep and your day will go so much smoother.
