Brianna Downey + Chase
Wedding Date:
June 7, 2025
Location:
Settlers Creek, Coeur d'Alene, IdahoFor Brianna, planning her wedding was about so much more than the details — it was about bringing together every favorite person in her life, all in one place, for the first time. After several moves, she and her husband had never had their entire circle of family and friends together, so this celebration meant everything. Her vision blended chic, floral elegance with an outdoorsy PNW spirit, and she made a point of choosing vendors who weren't just talented, but genuinely cared about their clients.
A Day Full of Heart
The morning began exactly as Brianna hoped — relaxed and joyful, spent getting ready alongside her girls in a ready room stocked with every snack and drink imaginable, courtesy of Settlers Creek's above-and-beyond hospitality. The ceremony felt deeply personal, officiated by her husband's uncle, and the reception that followed brought together all of their favorite people to celebrate their love. Brianna's dad delivered a speech that had everyone laughing and crying in the same breath, and in a touching surprise, Brianna shared a mother-daughter first dance with her mom — a heartfelt thank-you for all the love and support she poured into planning the wedding weekend. The night rounded out with dancing alongside friends old and new.
Brianna's Advice for Future Brides
"Take a moment with your husband just the two of you and go somewhere during the reception where you can kind of get a birds-eye view of the event. It was so special to see everyone together, enjoying themselves, and making new relationships with other guests. And you can truly see how all of your hard work paid off! It's also a nice moment to be fully alone with your new husband!"

What was the vision for your wedding?:
When planning the wedding I wanted it to feel like a big reunion of all of our favorite people, as we have moved several times and have never had all of our family and friends in one place together. I wanted the vibe to be chic and floral, but also outdoorsy since we love exploring in the PNW! I tried to find vendors that matched what I saw on Pinterest, but also vendors who were personable and you could tell cared about their clients.
How did it go on the day-of?:
The day of was amazing! Settlers Creek went above and beyond on the ready room and we have any snacks and drinks you can think of. My girls and I were able to relax and spend the morning together while getting our hair and makeup done. Our ceremony was so sweet and personal, as my husband's uncle officiated for us. Our reception was perfect! All of our favorite people were in one place finally to help us celebrate our love. My dad gave an amazing speech that left everyone crying and laughing at the same time. I surprised my mom with a mother-daughter first dance, since she is so special and helped immensely with planning the whole wedding weekend. We had the best time dancing with all of our friends!
