Athena + Isaac
(September 4, 2022 in Princeton, ID)
Athena looked absolutely STUNNING in our Harmony gown by Essense of Australia. Mixed floral details create stunning lacework that is truly one of its kind, forming a wide V-neckline with organic finishing and floating laces to create a traditional look with a completely modern update. For a dewy radiance, delicate sequins are placed thoughtfully throughout the lace placement on the bodice and over the top layer of the full skirt, crafted with multiple layers of tulle, organza and horsehair trim for an effortless yet structured volume. An open V-back is framed by floating lace elements, adding the perfect finishing touch to the all-natural bridal glamour. Plus, Athena had their gown professionally dyed black and we are OBSESSED!
Athena and Isaac's wedding was a romantic and dreamy affair, with a color scheme of blush pink, gold, and ivory. The bride wore a gorgeous lace gown with a long train, while the groom looked dapper in a classic burgundy suit. The ceremony took place outside, in front of a stunning floral arch, and was officiated by a relative of the couple. The reception was held inside the barn, which was beautifully decorated with fairy lights, candles, and floral centerpieces.
Overall, this blog post is a lovely tribute to Athena and Isaac's special day. It is filled with inspiring ideas and beautiful images, making it a great resource for anyone planning their own dreamy and romantic wedding.
By our real bride, Athena:
What was the vision for your wedding?
I wanted everything to be very dark academia, very elegant. I wanted my colors to be black and burgundy and I just wanted this moody elegant wedding.
How did it go the day-of?
It went so well. Everything came out exactly as we had planned. We had a majority of the decor be floral, so Little Shop of Florals did our flowers and they did an excellent job. I was stunned. My bouquet was huge, and it was really droopy and elegant, exactly how I wanted it. The ceremony was a non-theistic ceremony where we focused on family and friends that had supported us. My sister-in-law actually officiated, she got ordained for us and everything! We did a handfasting ritual at the end and walked out with our hands bound. It was ethereal and everything I had ever wanted.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?
Do not sweat things. Be zen. Use your bridezilla moment for something important. I felt so zen about the wedding because I felt really in control, but several things happened outside of my control and honestly, everyone was relieved that I didn't have a conniption. It will all turn out beautifully. Do not worry about it.
