Ashley + Chris
Wedding Date & Location:
August 31, 2024 at The Ridge at Greenbluff
Ashley’s dream was to bring the outdoors in with a rustic, forest-inspired wedding that felt both simple and stunning. Her palette of desert rose, light pink, and sage green paired perfectly with abundant greenery—fern, eucalyptus, and soft candlelight in mismatched clear glass holders. Mason jars of blooms lined the aisle while wood rounds anchored the tables, gift station, and dessert display, creating a warm and organic atmosphere.
On the day itself, everything unfolded seamlessly. Ashley and her husband joke that they’d relive it over and over again if they could. Their venue’s owner and coordinator, Lodi, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was executed, and the all-inclusive vendor list made planning stress-free. A ten-minute ceremony included a playful unity shot of their favorite drink, and their beloved dogs stole the show as “flower girl” and “ring bearer.” To capture the joy of the day, Ashley organized two group photos plus a “rush to the couple” moment where each table posed however they liked—one of her favorite memories. She also surprised her mom with a special mother-daughter dance, a heartfelt nod to a tradition her mom otherwise wouldn’t experience.
Ashley’s biggest tip for future brides? Book vendors early. The best ones fill up quickly, and getting your dream team locked in ahead of time will give you the peace of mind to enjoy your wedding day just as much as she did.
What was the vision for your wedding?:
We wanted a rustic, forest-like wedding. Something simple, but gorgeous. For colors, we had desert rose, light pink, and sage green. For decor, we used a lot of greenery (fern, eucalyptus), and for table settings, gift table, and dessert table, we used a lot of wood rounds. We had a lot of clear glasses of different shapes and sizes holding different sizes of candles. And for center pieces and flowers going down the aisle, we used mason jars to hold flowers. Everything turned out perfectly and just the way we wanted. For vendors, we choose the All-Inclusive option at the venue, so we had a specific list to choose from, and everyone was SO wonderful. Our wedding coordinator also recommend people that did not come in the all inclusive option.
How did it go on the day-of?:
When I say the day went perfect, it went PERFECT. My husband and I joke that we would do the day over and over again because of well everything went. Lodi, owner and wedding coordinator at the venue, is so amazing. She made sure everything we wanted was done and more. Our vendors, again, so amazing! We couldn’t have done it without them. We had a really quick ceremony (I’m talking 10 minutes), and for our “unity ceremony” we took a shot of our favorite drink, which was fun for us! Instead of “traditional” flower girl and ring bearer, we had our dogs be them for us. Our dogs mean the world to us, so we wanted to include them in our special day. I really wanted to make sure we got pictures with all our guests, so we took 2 big group photos of everyone there, and then we did a “rush to the couple” photo where each table came up to Chris and I, and they got to pose however they like. It was so fun, and I loved how everyone was included. Lastly, I did a surprise dance with my mom. I only have one other sibling (my sister), and I knew my mom wouldn’t get the chance to have a son/mother dance, so I instead did a mother/daughter dance with her and it was SO special.
What is your #1 tip to future brides?:
I recommend booking vendors ASAP after you get engaged. I feel like nowadays vendors are booked out so far in advance because they’re amazing. So once you have an idea of what you want, definitely would recommend reaching out to them ASAP.
