Anna + Trainor

Wedding Date & Location:

August 31st, 2024 at American Homestead in Naches, WA

For our real bride Anna, the dream was clear: a laid-back, floral-filled wedding weekend surrounded by loved ones in the great outdoors. Set at the scenic American Homestead, Anna and Trainor’s celebration felt like the perfect Labor Day escape—complete with camping, glamping, tacos, and lots of dancing. With a flower-forward vision and a vendor team chosen for good vibes and easy energy, their wedding struck the perfect balance between relaxed and meaningful. From private vows to a packed dance floor (yes, even Trainor’s 93-year-old great-grandma got down!), it was a weekend full of connection, joy, and unforgettable moments.

What was the vision for your wedding?:

We envisioned a laid back epic Labor Day weekend wedding. Picking a venue we knew we wanted somewhere our friends and family could camp on property and that’s what drew us to American Homestead! It was out of the way for us but perfect distance in the end as we are in Vancouver and have family here and in Spokane still! I wanted our wedding to be floral central with lots of beautiful flowers and an emphasis on the natural beauty of the landscape where we got married. Choosing vendors was hard as we were choosing people local to the area and we utilized the knot and then chose people we vibed well with and were easy going!

How did it go on the day-of?:

The day was beautiful. It ended up being exceptionally hot (95 degrees!) but I would do it all again! I was anxious all morning and just wanted to hug my person and get the day going. We opted for a first look with private vows and it was so special (and emotional!). We both think we look so much more relaxed and happy in our post first look photos. We had my big brother officiate our wedding and that was so special. We enjoyed tacos and all the traditional speeches and dances, and then went into a night of lawn games and dancing! We loved the anniversary dance where the winners were Trainor’s grandparents who have been married 51 years. Way more people danced than I was expecting. We have some epic photos of Trainor’s 93 year old great-grandma getting down with the groomsmen! We spent the night in a glamping tent which felt authentic to us and was so fun!

What is your #1 tip to future brides?:

Take the day in. Stop with your partner and realize what today is really about and take a minute to take a mental note of your partners face, your families, the venue, it all. It’s easy to get wrapped up in the busy parts of it all but it only happens once. And it goes so fast!
