By our real bride, Abby:

What was the vision for your wedding?

We really wanted a day that focused on our family and friends coming together to celebrate our next chapter. We got married at the Glover Mansion, which is where my parents got married 32 years ago. The venue is beautiful on its own, so we envisioned simple decor that accentuated the garden where our ceremony and reception were held. Choosing our vendors was fairly easy - they all appreciated the vision and understood the feeling we wanted to surround the day!

How did it go the day-of?

The day was amazing! We made a point to have little moments throughout the day for my husband and me to have a moment together. This included going off-site for some photos before the ceremony, having a plate of appetizers and drinks waiting for us in a private room right after the ceremony, and sharing a private last dance at the end of the night. The day went so quickly, but it was great to feel like we truly got to enjoy it together!

What is your #1 tip to future brides?

My biggest tip is that once you get to your big day, you can't carry the expectation that everything will be exactly as planned. However, no one other than you will know that something didn't go as planned! People will remember the feeling they had at your wedding, not the details, so don't sweat the small stuff!
