Our Libra gown by Willowby looked BEAUTIFUL in this styled shoot by Forthright Photo in the Snoqualmie Pass. It is a stunning sheath fit covered in gorgeous sheet lace. A deep v-neckline is so flattering and is accentuated by dainty eyelash lace. An open keyhole back with a tassel detail and a chapel-length train make this gown just as stunning from the back as it is from the front.
What was your vision for the styled shoot?
This was our big, end-of-season project working with a ton of very talented, wonderful people. Ive always loved the Snoqualmie Pass area, particularly Lake Kacheelus. Its always been so enticing & beautiful whenever I drive by it on I-90, and since shooting a gorgeous vow renewal there last year, I knew I wanted to come back. The couple who modeled are actually old friends of ours. We ran into them at another wedding we were shooting and got to chatting about wedding planning. Petra told me shed always wanted to have a stylish, adventure elopement, but they had gone with a big traditional wedding at the time. I was hoping to have a big, end of the season styled shoot so I offered to have them model for us & wed design an elopement day for them!
How did it go the day-of?
While planning, we wanted this shoot to feel more like a fun, end of the year retreat for all the vendors and less like a workday, so we rented a big, gorgeous A-frame cabin for everyone to share for a few days. We hung out and talked late into the night and bonded over some coffee & breakfast the next morning. It was such a wonderful contrast to busy, hectic shoot schedules with a bunch of strangers all working together for the first time, and everyone loved the experience and how relaxed everything was. It was so much fun I think we might plan all of our future shoots this way! After creating a cozy, fireplace lounge that was almost too pretty for words, the team packed up and headed out to the Lake Kacheelus lakebed, where we transformed some tree stumps into a magical woodland aisle for a ceremony space. Despite an iffy forecast, the weather was as wintry & perfect as I could have asked for, and we made so many amazing friends by the end of the day it truly felt a bit magical.
