This shoot features our Lucy gown by LAmour. It is a fit and flare gown with art-deco inspired lace. It has sequin detail throughout. It also features a deep v in the front and the back and the whole gown is a beautiful ivory over light nude.
The Backstory
I planned everything for this shoot within a week, and I couldnt believe it was really happening. Ive wanted to start my own photography business for a while but just never had taken the leap. Around the same time I was highly considering launching, my old classmate and past coworker, Cassie David, announced she was opening her own bridal shop in town named Honest in Ivory!! I was ecstatic, so proud and instantly wanted to do a styled shoot with her to help her promote her new business once I launched my own.
Fast forward a couple months, my business was launched and I was at Honest in Ivory for the first time, picking out two gowns for our first styled shoot together! We decided on two (photos of the second gown in a future post)!! Which, by the way, is so dreamy I want to move in.
The Shoot
Taylor Lunde, now known as Taylor Merrill, was my model for this shoot and she was so far past perfect! She had Jenn Barlos lined up to do her hair and makeup already, and we collaborated with a local family owned flower shop out of Liberty Lake, WA who arranged three BEAUTIFUL bouquets to us! The best thing about the flowers are they are all locally grown and cut in their own backyard, and are native to the PNW. You can find them weekly at the Liberty Lake Farmers Market with a bright yellow canopy. Thank you Sidewalk FP!! It was all so perfect down to the golden hour sunset popping through the trees.
We all met along Upriver in Spokane Valley where I found a patch of wildflowers and beautiful light coming through some trees We played around and were having so much fun that we had to run to the bridge to catch the disappearing sunset that was creeping over the hill.
I will be forever thankful Cassie, Taylor, and Jenn helped make this happen and how smoothly it went for being my first styled shoot. Thank you so much ladies!!
