Our Jaycee gown was perfection at this rustic, boho styled shoot by Jacie Van B. Photography. This sheath fit gown has a beautiful, crochet lace throughout the dress. A deep v-neckline with a fun tassel detail is so fun and flattering. Dainty straps and off-the-shoulder straps provide a sweet, romantic element. A low back and chapel-length train ensure that the back of this gown is every bit as stunning as the front.
What was the vision for your styled shoot?
I wanted a rustic boho look! I loved the idea of mixing greenery, Persian rugs, macrame, and wood - Schmidt Cattle Co. was the perfect location for this! They have an incredible 8x10' arbor overlooking the beautiful Mead area! The dress we found at Honest in Ivory was exactly what I was hoping for - boho with a fun neckline that could really highlight some of Coy Jewelry's bold jewelry. Each vendor was handpicked to help the vision come to life: Florian events has a great eye for creating unique bouquets like this one! Lash and Make has an incredible talent for makeup, and Katie at Kalon Studios nailed the messy hair perfectly! Not to mention, Knotty Boho's beautiful handmade macrame she created to fit this huge arbor!
How did it go the day-of?
We had so much fun at Schmidt Cattle Co! We were greeted with three baby horses, lots of cows, and homemade iced tea! The models got ready in the Schmidt family's gorgeous barn loft, and trekked up the property to their ceremony location overlooking their beautiful property. Since we had planned this vision for several weeks, everyone was there and ready to set up everything, and it fell into place so easily. We spent the next couple of hours talking, enjoying the view, and photographing our very much in love couple, Courtney and Jeff.
