Mt Spokane + Angelina Gown

Mt Spokane + Angelina Gown

Nov 07, 2018

(October 14, 2018 at Mount Spokane State Park, WA)

Our Angelina gown looked STUNNING at this shoot on Mt. Spokane by JMikayla Photography. This A-line dress features a slightly dropped waist with gorgeous, detailed pearl beading throughout the bodice. The bodice also features a plunging v-neckline and the back has a beautiful v-shape as well. The skirt has lovely lace appliqués throughout the wonderfully soft tulle.

What was the vision for your styled shoot?

I think its basically a requirement that any couples or wedding photographer is somewhat of a hopeless romantic at heart. Thats why we choose to photograph this genre, we dont just appreciate the idea of love, we thrive on being able to capture REAL couples that are absolutely head over heels for each other. Thats why I chose Taylor and Kaleb, a real couple, to model for this romantic styled shoot. I knew from the beginning exactly where I wanted this shoot and what I wanted the vibe to be - scroll through your Instagram and you see any number of boho elopements, but how often do you see a classic, romantic elopement? So this one is for you - hopeless romantic & classic bride, I know you have an adventurous side too!

The Harestream was a huge inspiration for this shoot as well; Lindsey transformed an old airstream into a beautifully rustic and fun space for brides to get their hair done- complete with a bathroom and a couch, allowing plenty of space for the whole bridal party. I knew instantly that this innovative idea had to be a part of my styled elopement shoot, to showcase an elopement doesnt have to sacrifice the more traditional aspects of a wedding day, like getting your hair and makeup done with your girls.

How did it go the day-of?

I was so impressed with how seamlessly this entire shoot went - we all worked together to bring this vision to life and I could not imagine a better team to work with! The day before the shoot I found out that a mountain biking event was being held at the location we had selected over a month ago, but we didnt let that stop us- we parked the Harestream in the original location, and had a parking lot full of people watching us as we created some serious magic. Lindsays Harestream provided the perfect place to get ready and her setup made it easy to picture the styled shoot as an actual elopement in the mountains (making me wish I could redo my own wedding and elope in the mountains too!!). Next, Attic Rentals helped me capture the true romantic vibe behind my vision with their beautiful red couch and candles setup. Finally, we braved the winding & terrifyingly narrow road to the top of the mountain (shout out to Karli for driving!!) where Taylor and Kaleb absolutely knocked it out of the park with their modeling despite the 30 degree wind chill! We wrapped up the shoot after warming up inside the vista house by the fireplace. Overall it was an amazing day thanks to the team of wonderful vendors listed below!!
