What was the vision for your lookbook?
Since we opened back in August 2018, we had the first influx of over 40 gowns from our designers arrive this winter. We reached out to Liz of Sage and Scarlet photography, who we have worked with several times before for other photo shoots. She is incredibly talented and shoots in both digital and film... so dreamy. These four beautiful women I know outside of the store, in "real life". I intentionally asked each one of them because they were so diverse in body types and were a great representation of the beautiful women who come to our shop and try on our sample gowns. I wanted the vibe to be very modern, minimalist, and clean with pops of deeps reds and golds. I tasked Amanda from House of Found to create this stunning dried floral installation that we were actually able to showcase in our store for 2 months after this shoot.

How did it go the day-of?
I was so very honored to be a part of making Honest In Ivory's Winter lookbook happen in January! Working with Amanda from House of Found and her gorgeous custom backdrop and bouquets to shoot Cassie's new array of dresses was a ridiculously inspiring way to spend a winter afternoon. The sun shone through the bridal shop's floor-to-ceiling windows, and all of the models and makeup artists bustled around getting ready for the shoot. Kiss & Make Up was there, and I loved getting to work with all of these gorgeous and real girls who were going to represent HII's fresh line-up of dresses. I think we shot around twenty dresses that afternoon, and it really did feel like a party and a runway all wrapped together, haha! Cassie and her girls have such a fresh and consistent message of inclusivity, joy, and care for their brides in the shop that is so welcoming to be a part of, and I think it got captured well here in her lookbook.
