A Moody Bowl & Pitcher Shoot

A Moody Bowl & Pitcher Shoot

Oct 11, 2018

(September 23, 2018 in Spokane, WA)

Our Iliana gown by TiAdora was perfect for this styled shoot by Danielle Johnson Photo. This sheath fit gown is so flattering on all shapes and sizes. The dress features the most gorgeous sheet lace for the perfect vintage, boho look. A deep v-neckline and wide waistband are incredibly flattering. Eyelash lace along the hem and the train is so stunning and Danielle captured the details of this gown perfectly.

What was your vision for this styled shoot?

For this styled shoot, I had a vision of a darker, moodier bridal look rather than the more traditional bright and airy look, as Ive been moving to a more moody style with my photography. I found a bunch of inspiration from other styled shoots for a burgundy/dark reddish-purple color palette, and Bloom and Design did an excellent job at creating exactly the colors I was wanting for the flowers. I also wanted it to be a bit bohemian, so I had Samanthas hair done in a way that we could put both a veil and a flower crown in her hair. I picked a dress that had a beautiful train and beautiful lace details; very simple, yet stunning.

How did it go the day-of?

Oh boy, was this day busy! I picked up the dress and veil, and headed straight to Bowl and Pitcher, where I decided to do the shoot. Lina and Viktoriya, of Bloom & Design, went out of their way to deliver the beautiful bouquet and crown to me at the location, and Samantha showed up soon after with her hair and makeup all ready to go! We explored a lot of the park before it got too dark out, and it was so fun to do this shoot at Bowl and Pitcher, as I am new to Spokane and have been wanting to shoot there forever!
